How do I book my Flight Simulator Experience?

Just contact us on our contact page, or by email, or phone 01487 740896. Let us know any dates you would like to check for availability and also the length of flight experience you are looking to book.  If you have a gift voucher, please quote your voucher reference.  Once a date and time has been agreed, we will email your booking confirmation to you.  Your experience can be paid either by bank transfer or over the phone using a debit or credit card.

Can I bring a guest with me?

You are welcome to bring up to 3 guests with you.  Any guests under 16 must be accompanied by a non-flying adult.

Larger group bookings can be arranged by getting in touch.

Are there any age, weight or height restrictions?

There is no upper age limit, but you must be over 8 years old.  Anybody under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

As the cockpit is an exact replica of a real Boeing 737 cockpit, it is compact in space.  If you are unsure if this will be suitable for you, please do get in touch.

Do I need any flying experience?

This simulator is suitable for complete beginners up to qualified pilots.  Our instructors are all very friendly and will quickly put you at ease and guide you throughout your experience.

Can I buy Gift Vouchers?

Gift vouchers can be purchased online to either be posted to you by Royal Mail 1st class signed for, or EVouchers delivered by email.  To purchase gift vouchers please click here.

Does the simulator move?

No, this is a fixed base simulator.  When you are in the simulator with the 220 degree visuals, you really will feel as though you are flying.  You will also feel vibrations that gives the feeling of the engines running.

Will I get to fly the simulator?

Absolutely.  You will be in the Captain's seat (unless you request not to).  With the guidance of our experienced instructors you will take off, fly and land the plane.

Is there parking?

Yes there is free parking available, although space is limited to 2 cars. If you are coming as a group booking and require more parking, please get in touch.

Do I have to book in advance?

Yes, all sessions must be pre-booked.

​

What are your opening hours?

Monday - Friday:  11am - 9pm

Saturday/Sunday: 11am - 6pm

How much does it cost?

60 minutes: £120

90 minutes: £170

120 minutes: £210

180 minutes: £280

Dry hire: £70 per hour

What is dry hire?

This is to hire the simulator with no instructor and is only available to pilots and those with significant simulator experience.  For first booking an instructor will be present to start with to observe competency.

​

What does Gate to Gate mean?

We offer Gate to Gate (for no additional cost); experience engine start up, moving backwards from the stand, taxi to the runway and carry out your pre take off checks before taking off.

Do you offer courses such as Fear of Flying and Type rating?

Please get in touch to request specific courses.

Can I book for longer than 120 minutes?

Yes, we can book for longer, including full day bookings.  Please get in touch to request longer experiences.

Can I take photos and videos?

You are welcome to take photos and videos.  A video of your experience will also be available to purchase for £25.

Are there toilets?

Yes there are toilets available for you to use.

​

Can I book a simulator session for during my spa booking?

Yes, it's a bit like booking a massage or facial, except this is a flight simulator experience.

Please book via the contact page, email or phone and remember to tell us that you have a spa booking as this will give you a discount off your simulator experience.

You will need to get dressed out of your spa robe for your simulator session.

Do I have to be booked in to Sandpiper Spa to use the Simulator?

No, you can just book a Flight Simulator Experience without being a spa guest.

Terms & Conditions for cancellation.

14 - 30 days - we will reschedule your booking with no loss of deposit.  Cancellation will result in the loss of your deposit.

7 – 14 days -  50% of final balance per person
7 days – full amount due

​

Terms & Conditions for refunding a gift voucher.

We are unable to offer a refund for any gift voucher and all gift vouchers must be used by the expiry date.  The expiry date is stated on the gift voucher and is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
